That is awe inspiring! Wow, I hope I have some that size, too! This weekend, Chuck completed the PVC hoop structure over our sweet tater bed and we'll have the heavy duty plastic ready to cover it when the temps go back down. I've said it…

Well, I couldn't take the suspense. We dug one up and it's a 1 lb beauty. It'll be breakfast tomorrow! There was at least one more on the plant and we've got 25 plants in the ground, so we're hoping for a nice harvest!

No kidding yeah for sweet potatoes. Ours are now getting a PVC hoop structure over them so we can cover with heavy duty plastic and hopefully hold off the cold temps into Sept. I've been mighty tempted to pull back the black plastic between…

What a bummer! I must confess I usually don't pay for internet services (besides service itself). But I'd still love to be able to keep up with what's going on. Maybe a blog?

I'm down in Saint Paul and growing sweet potatoes for the first time, too. I grew the Beauregard variety from Johnny's. It took until July for them to do much, but now they've taken over half the garden. haha. I can't wait to see…
