These are sources for re-claimed , used or discounted building materials I mentioned at Sunday's meeting. I've used both these places for cedar or redwood boards in constructing raised beds. They are really re-claimed, so there will be nail holes. Some times treated with stain or paint. I've also found plywood at $5/ board. The Reuse Maplewood store has been very helpful in the past in holding materials for me for a few days since I was driving down from Ely for the pick-up. http://www.thereusecenter.com/ http://www.tchabitat.org/restore/ http://www.cleanenergyresourceteams.org/get-answers/29/04/2010/reus... There also is a Habitat Restore in Marshall.
Thanks, Steve! These resources sound very useful. If several of us can get together for this we need, we may even be able to get better deals, or at least share transporting the stuff. I know that several folks are looking to build this year- this may help to bring down some costs.
